Genowefa Serafin Obituary

SERAFIN, Genowefa 84, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Serafin was born in Poland, arrived in America in 1951, and moved to this area 28 years ago from Chicago, IL. She was a retired electronics factory worker, and she enjoyed swimming, dancing and cooking. She was a member and the activities coordinator for the Polish-American Club and was a survivor of forced labor camps in Germany. Survivors include her 3 sons, Stan of Spring Hill, Richard (and Connie) of Spring Hill and John (and Gail) of Burridge, IL; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3-7 pm at Turner Funeral Homes Spring Hill Chapel, with a wake service at 5 pm. Funeral Mass will be Thursday 9:30 am at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens.
