Grant Bennati Obituary

BENNATI, Grant, 54, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2004. Grant was a much loved and cherished son to his parents, Alvin Sr. and Marge Bennati. He was great big brother to Al Jr. and Liane; and a proud uncle to Trey and Trevor, who were the light of his life. Grant had many cousins, although a special relationship with Keith, Kim, Debbie, Julie, Diane, and Susan, also many cousins in Canada. He loved his buddies, Beau, Steve, Frank, Mike, Rick and David. He loved his girls, Susie, Rose and his Teri, too many to mention. All of his doctors and nurses that cared for him over the years, kept him alive in more ways than they will ever know. Grant was an actor who appeared in a Hollywood movie. He was a writer and a philosopher. He was a sports fanatic too. It all started at Jesuit High School where he was a star football player. He received a four year athletic scholarship to the University of Georgia. He loved ALL sports. He loved watching his nephews play ball. He was the Plant High girls b asketball team #1 FAN. He loved Gasparilla and being in the Krew of Tronando. He was an excellent real estate nego- tiator and left a lasting imp- ression on everyone he met. There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, March 27 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Chapel located at Jesuit High School, 4701 N. Himes Ave. Following the memorial at 11 a.m. will be a Catholic Mass performed by Grant's good friend, Father Doyle.
