Harry BELYEA Obituary

BELYEA, Harry M. Jr. 80, of Pyatt, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024, in Harrison, AR, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on April 4, 1944, in Weymouth, Massachusetts, to Harry M. Belyea Sr. and Florence (Bartlett) Belyea. Harry graduated from Braintree High School in 1962. He then joined the Army and served as a Vietnam Veteran. Upon returning home, he joined the Braintree Fire Department. After retiring from the fire department, he relocated his family to the Ozarks. Later, he moved to Hudson, FL, where he held various jobs, including working at Sweetbay Grocery for 14 years until his retirement. Harry then returned to the Ozarks to live out the rest of his life. He had a deep love for holidays, especially Christmas, and kept his decorations up year-round. Harry is survived by his wife, Kathy, of Hudson, FL, and their children: Carly Belyea of Loveland, CO, Zachary Belyea of Hudson, and Lucas Belyea (Alexandra) of Hudson, FL; his stepchildren: Sherree Devine of Hudson, Shannon Berg of Hudson, and Amber Berg of Brewton, AL. He is also survived by his children in Arkansas: Robert Belyea (Teresa) of Pyatt, Edward Belyea (Bobbie) of Pyatt, Sheri Sheppard (Tom) of Harrison, Michael Belyea of Pyatt, Julie King of Harrison, and Matthew Clark of Pyatt; his brother, Edward Belyea of Braintree, MA; two nieces and a nephew in Braintree, MA; 37 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at a later date.

I worked with Harry when sweetbay grocery store was open. He was always so pleasant & very easy to talk too. We had plenty of laughs together, which I will always hold close to my heart! Your friend Kathleen
