I was deeply saddened to hear of Henry's passing. I believe I was one of his first clients here in Sarasota when he renovated my home back in 1992. He did a wonderful job and was a pleasure to be with. Although we met by chance, we had a lot in common including having both moved here from Gainesville, our love for the Gators, and the joy of music. He was a fine gentlemen and will certainly be missed by many. My condolences to his family and friends.

I did not know Henry very well, but we both lived on Bird Key, I have seen him joyfully play his bass guitar, I attended his 50th birthday party, and I am also a Gator.
I was very sad to hear this news.
I am glad we had a good conversation within the last year.
My condolences to his family and friends.

Henry was a very great and generous friend. Though our friendship was relitivley young, it was greatly valued. The way I will choose to remember Henry is a pefect example of who he was. Henry was sharing one of his greatest accomplishments with several friends previewing his brother and himself on stage singing a Happy Birthday Song to his Mother. He will be missed for moments as that and many more.

Henry was my best friend and beloved husband for fourteen years. His love was great, unconditional and so very sincere. I was blessed to have so many wonderful years with such a loving man. I will miss him and love him forever.

Henry Briggs McFarlin III, what an incredible man; so generous, such a caretaker, talented bass guitar musician, Gator, handsome Southern gentleman, so intelligent and tolerant of everyone, (unless you were a sub-contractor), a man who paid attention to details. The homes he built are legacies and masterpieces. The friendships he nurtured will never be diminished. We made a pact that we would be brother and sister forever and that is what I find comforting now. "Love is eternal and never fades."

Henry was a dear friend of ours and a close confidant over the last year and a half. He was an incredibly caring man, he lived his life with integrity and honor. He was a music man through and through often quoting lyrics from songs. There are versus and tunes that will forever remind us of him. He left us all far too soon. We are both grateful for the endearing conversations and the time we had together last weekend. We caught the end of the Gator game, talked, and reminisced about the 50th Birthday Bash - what a blast! Henry, a true southern gentleman, you will be missed. May peace rest in your soul. God Bless, Bonnie & Brad Maynard

Henry was a wonderful friend of mine. I saw him every two weeks at 11:30 AM. That is when I would cut his hair. I was his barber and friend for many years. We would laugh, tell jokes and talk about the `Gators. He would light up when we talked about the BAND. How he loved that. We could talk about that a lot. I sure will miss Henry. I always looked forward to seeing him walk through my door because I knew we would have us some laughs. He was thrilled having the band sing Happy Birthday to his Mom and having it on a DVD. He loved having his brother play in the band.
My Deepest Sympathy to his Family.
Rest in Peace my Friend

Henry use to host the Nancy Luca band at his Bird Key home and sit in with them on the bass guitar when they played local gigs. I went to Henry's fantastic 50th birthday bash. Over the ensuing years, I only encountered him a few more times and he always interacted in a cordial manner. I think he considered me crazy after hearing about me jumping off the Ringling Bridge (please don't confuse this with the Sunshine Skyway). Henry loved the Gators. I love the Gators too. My condolences to family and friends.

We were so sad to hear of Henry's passing. I had the pleasure to work with Henry on a few songs on Bass. Henry was a good friend and cared about everyone. Our thoughts and prayers are with Henry's family.
