Janice Porter Obituary

PORTER, Janice Kay, 72, of Zephyrhills, Florida, formerly of Owensboro, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Porter, son, Timothy Porter, Sr. and her parents, Luther and Bernice Stowe. Janice was a devoted wife and loving mother. She loved UK basketball and spending time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She instilled love, wisdom and pride upon all of us. She will be greatly missed by all as she goes to be with our Lord. Survivors include three sisters, June Sanetra, Jo Jean Jones and Bernice Richeson; a brother, Luther Stowe Sr.; three children, Scott Porter, Stephen Porter and Amy Porter; 13 grandchildren, Amanda Vergason, Melissa Menza, Telea Garrison, Stephen Porter Jr., Tabatha Nichols, Nathan Porter, Brandon Porter, Timothy Porter II, Krystal Porter, Tiffany Horn, Bryan Porter, Lea Porter, Levi Porter; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 3pm Monday December 29, 2014 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City.
