Janina PRZEPIERZYNSKI

PRZEPIERZYNSKI, Janina "Nina" 88, of St. Petersburg, passed away Sept. 25, 2022, at Center Mid-Pinellas Hospice House. She was born and raised in Warsaw, Poland, and came to the U.S. in 1961 with her husband, Eligiusz, to Brooklyn, NY. She worked as a bookkeeper for Chemical Bank, NY. She was preceded in death by her husband in St. Petersburg in 2002. She is survived by her three children, Lucy, Christina and Andrew; brother, Ryszard, in Poznan, Poland; her grandchildren, Victor, Leon, Michelle, Austin, Alex and Monica; her great-grandchildren, Amelia and Makario. Janina and her husband moved to St. Petersburg in Nov. of 1972 as proud owners of the Silver Star Motel. They owned and operated the motel until 1985. Janina pursued a career in real estate, and worked for Prudential Gower Realty until she retired around 2000. Both her beautiful smile, and her charming spirit, will be remembered by all the organizations she belonged to: Polish American Society, Mercy of God Polish Mission, Polonia Inc., Polish Center of John Paul II, and a volunteer at The Red Cross for many years. Janina had a very special person in her life, "Elzbieta," who was her personal caregiver for well over 10 years, as she was diagnosed with dementia and could not live alone. Her entire well-being was dedicated to this wonderful, heartwarming, and special lady. Janina's memorial service was held Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home - 2201 Dr. MLK St. N., St. Petersburg. Viewing was from 4-7 pm. Friday, October 7, was a mass at St. Paul's Catholic Church - 1800 12th St. N., St. Petersburg at 10 am followed by her burial at Catholic Calvary Cemetery - 5233 118th Ave. N., Clearwater.
