SCHWARTZ, Dr. Jeffrey Stephen "Jeff" 64, of Largo, Florida passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022. Jeff was born July 11, 1957 in Brooklyn, NY to Rosalyn Honey Schwartz and Martin Schwartz. Jeff spent his upbringing surrounded by his family with gatherings at the family beach house on the East Atlantic Beach. This sparked his love for looking out into the water. The family beach house is also the origin to the influence of becoming an Ophthalmologist by Jeff's cousin, Dr. Stephen Weinstock. Jeff's impressive education began at the University of South Florida for his undergraduate. He went on to the American University of the Caribbean for medical school, fulfilled his residency at the University of South Florida, with a fellowship in Glaucoma at the University of California, Los Angeles. He was the first Glaucoma specialist in Pinellas County, FL. Among his education and practice, Jeff was a member of many organizations and clubs. He was the social chair of Pike Fraternity inspiring his sons to also become members, member of the Privateer's, chairman and on the board for Lighthouse For the Blind, member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and was one of the founders of the Eye Institute of West Florida. Jeff is survived by his dedicated wife of 35 years, Maribeth Schwartz; his daughter, Danielle Wooster (Marc); his son, Marc Schwartz (Sarah); and his son, Adam Schwartz; his father, Martin Schwartz and his mother, Rosalyn Honey Schwartz; brothers, David (Marina) and Benjamin (Robyn); his granddaughter, Addison Wooster, and many nieces and nephews. Jeff loved and enjoyed his family, and was an avid golfer. Passionate to always be on the move, Jeff walked his boykin spaniel, Ralph, everyday.
