Jimmy Thomas BAKER

BAKER, Jimmy Thomas 72, of St. Petersburg, entered into eternal rest on July 9, 2012. He retired from City of St. Petersburg Water Resources with over 25 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Inez Baker; children Nancy Whittaker, Jimmy T. Baker Jr. (Tremesa), Richard Baker (Ulunda), and Justin Baker; grandchildren, Cosby, Alyssa, Richard Jr., Justin Jr., Brittany, Trevor, Christopher, and Matthew, and another grandson due this month. He was a beloved husband, father, and brother to Otis Baker (Agnes), Ottie Ratliff (Diane), Sheila Campbell (Jeff), Zella Wade, Betty Williams, Earnestine Miller (Owen) and Barbara Ratliff. He was also loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends from Florida, Georgia, and throughout the Southeast. The family will receive visitors at Lawson Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 4535 Central Ave. N, St Petersburg, FL 33713. A viewing will be held on Thursday July 12, 2012 from 3-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday July 13, 2012 at 11 am. Extensions of sympathy such as flowers, cards, and comfort maybe sent to the funeral home or to the family direct.
