John NUZZO Obituary

NUZZO, John S. 56, of Lutz passed away April 25, 2014 at his home. He was born and raised in Newburgh, NY and moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1992. John was a Funeral Director & Embalmer and worked for several Tampa funeral homes. He had volunteered with the Pine View Middle School and the Land O' Lakes High School Bands and was treasurer for several years with the LOLHS's Band Boosters. John, also volunteered for the Guardian Ad Litem Program of Hillsborough County and had received several awards. He was preceded in death by his son, Samuel Nuzzo. John is survived by his wife, Rosemary (Sheridan) Nuzzo of Lutz; daughter, Barbara Nuzzo of Lutz; parents, Mark and Madeliene (Copeletti) Nuzzo of Hudson; brother, Mark Nuzzo and wife Terryl of Orlando; sisters, Rosemarie Morrison of Jacksonville, and Lisa Arnsdorff and husband Bruce of Jacksonville; two nieces; three nephews; numerous cousins, aunts and uncles of Newburgh, NY. A Celebration of John's life will take place at 7 pm, Monday, May 12, in the chapel of MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 N. Florida Ave, Tampa. The family will receive friends and light refreshments will be served prior from 4-7 pm in the visitation room at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions in memory of John Nuzzo to the Lynn Sowers Memorial Foundation, 2008 E 8th Ave, Tampa, FL 33605.
