Jose Vicencio Obituary

VICENCIO, Jose Roque, M.D., 74, of Tampa and formerly of Chicago, Ill., passed away July 19, 2005. He is survived by his wife, Dominga Pobre Vicencio; sons, Daniel Vicencio, M.D., and Ronald Vicencio, M.D., and wife, Lisa Ruperto Vicencio; sister, Zenaida Cruz; brother-in-law, Cesar Cruz, M.D.; and two grandchildren, Theo and Leah. He is also survived by his remaining siblings in the Philippines, Natividad Vicencio and Lucio Vicencio. Uncle Joe was gregarious, fun-loving, caring and dependable. He graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in 1956 with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and graduated from the medical school of Manila Central University in 1960 with a Medical Doctorate. He was the medical administrator at Yards Medical Center 1972-99. He was a member and former president of North Shore Philippino Association, Lions Club and the Philippine Medical Society. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Catholic Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the charity of your choice.
