Julius WILLIAMS Obituary

WILLIAMS, Julius C. Sr. The homegoing celebration for Mr. Julius C. Williams Sr. of Tampa, who was called home to glory Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, will be held Saturday, Feb. 23rd, at 11 am at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 4301 West Cypress Street Tampa, FL 33607. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. Julius C. Williams Sr. was born to the late Lemmie and Mamie L. Williams on March 26, 1936 in Camilla, GA. He accepted Christ at an early age and his passion for Christ was evident in his daily works as a member of Friendship M.B. Church. Julius was a longshoreman for over 30 years until his health failed him. He was a devoted husband, and father of six. He was his happiest when surrounded by family and tending his garden. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 53 years, Gladis M. Williams; daughters, Mamie Aletha, Karen, Shawn; sons, Julius Jr., Derrick Sr. (Pamela), Nicolas; grandchildren, Tamara, Taryn (Clyde Reece Jr.), Derrick Jr., Xavier, Desha; and great-grandchildren, Kara and Anelia; godsons, Joseph Sparks and Maurice Felder; sisters, Mamie Sims (Roland) and Barbara Edwards; brother, Leonard Fisher; aunts, Cora B. Sims and Annie Pearl of Detroit, MI, Jessie L. Lee and Oppie L. Johnson of Pelham, GA; a host of cousins, nieces & nephews. The remains will repose after 5 pm, Friday, Feb. 22nd, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N.
