Kai JOHANSON Obituary
63, of Redington Beach, passed away Feb. 2, 2015, after a brief battle with brain cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alf and Maye Johanson. Kai is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kris; sister, Tonja; brother, Jon; five nieces and nephews; and 12 great-nieces and nephews. Kai managed the Seminole Sherwin Williams store for 20 years before retiring in 2012. Kai will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and love of practical jokes. He was blessed with a loving family and many friends throughout his life and in his final days. A life celebration will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to SPCA Tampa Bay.

Kris, Paul and I are terribly sad to hear of your loss. We are so glad that we were able to meet Kai, and spend some time socially with you both last year. You have 31 years of the most fantastic memories of the love you have shared. You are in our thoughts at this time.

Kris, I am so sorry for your loss. Kai was such a happy, funny person to spend time with. I will always remember the wonderful meals and laughter we all shared. Please find some comfort knowing that he will always be near you in your heart.

Kris, I am so terribly sad to hear the news. I know I didn't know Kai very well, but in the few times I spent with the two of you over the years I could easily tell how happy you were together. I love the picture you selected, it really seems to capture his sense of humor. Wishing you much peace right now.
