Laura FELIX Obituary

FELIX, Laura Marie

79, "Always Loving, Always Loved." Longtime St. Petersburg resident, Laura entered into rest June 6, 2016. Born in Lake City, Oct. 5, 1936 to Clayton and Viola Smith, she was adopted by Ray and Watson Garrard. Laura married Charles E. Morgan Jr. in 1956. They had three children. Laura was preceded in death by second husband, J.C. "Bud" Felix. She is survived by siblings, Tom Garrard, Vivian Perkins, Sandra Turman, and Judith Baughn; children, Charles W. Morgan, Jennifer M. Holloway and Charlie, John F. Morgan and Andrea; grandchildren, Garrard and Grant; great-grandchildren, Keatly, and Koral, and extended family, the Westfalls. Laura attended Brenau University in Gainesville, GA. She loved sailing, playing bridge, and theater. She was a 'Salty Sister.' Laura was a supporter of youth drug rehabilitation programs throughout the Tampa Bay area. She worked with Dr. Don Krippendorf until her retirement. Laura was laid to rest June 17 during a private service at Memorial Park Cemetery. Family suggests donations to www.thehospice.org in Laura's name. A special thank you to Hospice for their care.
