Michael Branham Obituary
of Tampa passed away on December 27, 2024 at the age of 71. Michael was born in Ashland, KY but spent the majority of his younger years in Orlando, FL. After joining the Florida Highway Patrol, and meeting his wife Lori, they made their way to Tampa where his career and family blossomed. He retired as a Lieutenant after 31 years of dedicated service and spent his days playing golf, keeping up with his favorite sports teams, and making friends with all of the Publix employees while buying his lucky lotto tickets. But what he truly enjoyed most of all was spending time with Lori and his boys. He never failed to mention in any conversation how lucky and proud he felt to have them in his life. Michael leaves behind his loving wife of 41 years, Lori, and his sons Michael Jr. (Katie) and Sam (Keti). A visitation for Michael will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 10-11 am at Blount & Curry Funeral Home- Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Ave., Tampa, Florida 33618, followed by a funeral service at 11 am. Private graveside services. Any donations can be sent in his honor to the Florida Association of State Troopers at fastinc.org/donate.

I first met Mike when he was just a teenager. I used to pack a huge suitcase (Big Bertha) when visiting Pat & the Branham Family. Mike volunteered to take it in the house for me. After the first visit Mike would always ask, "Are you
bringing that big suitcase?"
Mike and his dad taught me all about football. I never had an interest in it before , but after being tutored by them I became a real fan. Now I guess you would call me a football fanatic!
I have so many fond memories of Mike and his entire family. I pray for peace that passes understanding for all of Mike's friends and loved ones.

Mike was my baby brother, best friend, who always looked after me like a big brother to the end. He is now at peace with our parents. I will so miss him, his wisdom, our chats & the knowledge he was always there for me. God speed.
