Michael Merle BUSSELL

BUSSELL, Michael Merle, 68 years young, born September 9, 1941, in Summerville, SC., entered into God' s presence Friday, July 23, 2010. He is survived by his loving, beautiful wife of 50 years, Yvonne Bussell; daughter, Michelle "Sissy" Yvonne Bussell and her partner, Tina Marie Kemp, both of Charlotte, N.C.; son, Michael M. Bussell II and his wife, Kerri "Mae" Bussell, and one grandson, Michael M. Bussell III, all of Sarasota, Fla.; sister, Mary Hendrix of Little Mountain, S.C., and her four children, Melanie, David, Crystal and Lee; brother, James Bussell of Plant City, Fla., and his wife, Pat and their three children, Eric, Beth and Katrina. He is also survived By all of his dear friends at "Scratch." Mike was a retired U.S. Army first sergeant, serving for a total of 17 and a half years, during the Vietnam War and after. He also served his country as a police officer, in Bartow and Winter Haven, Fla., for 10 years. Mike was very proud of his accomplishments he attained while serving as a councilman for the City of Zephyrhills for two years.

Mike has worked in the business of the church for 10 years, as a church administrator and board member. He was very proud to be a Christian and had no qualms letting people know. Memorial services will take place at 11 a.m. Sunday, July 25, 2010, at Crystal Springs Worship Center. A private interment service for the family will take place at a later date, at Veterans Memorial Garden, in Sarasota, Fla. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to Crystal Springs Worship Center.
