Michael A. Casey

CASEY, Michael A. 62, of St. Petersburg, died Oct. 1, 2012, at Northside Hospital. Born at Camp Lejeune, NC, he moved with his family to St. Petersburg as a child. He attended Andrew College in Cuthbert, GA, Florida State University and served in a military police unit in the Army Reserve. He was an avid reader and history enthusiast with a keen interest in the Civil War. He worked for more than 40 years in the automotive business, the last 20 years with Crown Automotive Group where he was the corporate pre-owned wholesale inventory director. He bought and sold cars at Manheim Auto Auctions in St. Petersburg and Tampa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas A. Casey and Frances Patterson Casey; his stepfather, Jack Bailey; and his brother, Donald Casey. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rexena Bonnell Casey; his sons, Michael (Beth) and Daniel (Elizabeth); his sister, Robin Benoit (Chris); six nieces and nephews.
