To Mike's Family and Friends,
I grew up with Mike in Hoffman Estates, Ill. and being afew years younger than him, I always liked hanging out with him and his brother Pat. I remember hiding out in the attic above their garage which we called the secret hideout.
I remember building a go-kart which had a "toilet sign" as the steering wheel with Mike, and cruizing around the block trying not to get caught by the cops. I remember learning how to jump off the roof with out getting hurt under Mikes instructions. Mike was also my sponsor when I received my Confirmation in church. Even though Mike and I went our own ways in life, and haven't talked to each other in 30 years, the fun and excitement we had together growing up will always be apart of me. I cheerish those memories, and am thankful for having the childhood I had with Mike, Pat, and Karen. Mike, I wear a smile today for the fun we had together. I wish you eternal happiness, but I know you're not the type of person to rest in peace.
To Mike's family and friends,
my thoughts and prayers are with you.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Today you welcome me to heaven and sorrow feels your heart even though we are not together we will never be apart.
Our time we had together was cut short in the blink of an eye but you can still see me in all god’s glory when you look up to the sky.
Why god called me home so soon right now I can’t explain I know you fill sorrow and your friends all feel your pain
Today you cry and say good bye to the me you knew on earth I promise you our time heaven will be an eternity to that we just had
Now it is time to move on and let me fly up to heaven above I know you will not forget me as you will always feel my love as I look down on you today I know why you are sad but please remember even here in heaven I still have a place on earth as your dad grandad an freind
I love you
