Michael we will miss you.

You were the best nephew anyone could ever have. You were kind and caring and loving and oh so funny.

The first time I saw you, you were a week old and a bundle of joy. I went to Florida to help out.

We didn't have much time together, but when we were with you it was great.

In May the last time we saw you when we went down to visit, you made our time there so special.

We will miss you Mike every day. You may be gone from our lives, but never ever from our hearts.

If tear drops were stair steps I would walk right up to heaven and bring you back again.

Love forever

Upon Michaels return from his trip to North Carolina Saturday, September 25th, we sat out on our back deck as we did almost every evening and he filled me in on all of his adventures. He would tell me how happy he was to visit with his Grandma and Grandpa Sutton as well as his Uncle Scott, how he had forgotten to take his tent poles along on the trip so he and Brian had to tie the top of the tent to a tree and slept on the "hardest ground in the world", as well as some thoughts he had when the two of them had reached the mountaintop.

He would go on to tell me that he'd had a moment of clarity and that he was beginning to understand a life that he'd not so much gotten in the past. That he realized that life isn't about the "BIG DREAM" like he thought it was...but that it was about all of the "little things, little moments" that make it all worth living. And with this being said I began to cry and said "You're so very right Mike...and let me say to you, thank you for all of our moments." At which he smiled and said: "no sweat!"

Michael, I will miss you more than words could ever say. You were my best friend.

Forever,

Roxanne

A lot of my memories of Mike are small flashes. Like the time we watched Vertigo together, my first taste of Hitchcock, one of his favorite directors. I remember his old room full of movie posters with the likes of Jason and Pinhead staring out at me. About 4 years ago, the last time I was in Florida, he was making everyone Cosmopolitans, and he let me sip out of his glass, I felt very sophisticated drinking cosmos with my older Cousin Mike. All of my memories are happy ones filled with laughter. I'll miss Mike more than words can say and my heart goes out to Aunt Char, Uncle Doug, Tracey, and everyone else he touched. I love you all so much.

We will never forget those endless nights spent talking and laughing with Mike, playing games or watching cheesy movies. We will always cherish his friendship and the thoughtful, caring way in which he lived his life.

MR MICHALE HOSSACK! I will miss identifying you like that everyday at work.

Michael was a man who was greatly loved by many. We did not have enough time to do what we wanted to do Michael. We had many more journeys to conquer. Many more mountains to climb. So very much more to do indeed. However, you are now on a new journey, and this journey is one that needed you more. You have a much greater quest. The quest of one of our Lords Angles. I know that you are now looking down on your family and friends guiding us through this time of sorrow. You will never be gone forever. For every mountain - top, waterfall, and wild flower I come across, I know that there will always be a part of you there with me.

I’ll be your Huckleberry:

To the entire Hossack Family:

I know it has been years that I have seen Mike or interacted with his parents Doug, Char or Family but the sense of loss I feel for the entire family is beyond words.

Mike was full of life and very talented. He displayed the qualities of life and adulthood that every parent can only hope for.

He will be sorely missed and His contributions to all of those he has touched through the years makes his passing that much harder.

As Dawn mentioned I too believe you are reunited with Pampa and Grandma. Together you will watch over all of us, never to be forgotten.

Lets not dwell on his passing but remember his life fondly.

Deepest Sympathy

There is something special about having someone look up to you and when we were younger you were like a shadow to me and though time and distance made our visits few and far between that special feeling has never disappeared. You are warm and funny, caring and honest.

I use the present tense because those things in my heart and mind will never change. I may not be with you again but I will see you and I will hear you and I will remember that laugh. Most importantly you will live on in the pride of your Mom, Dad and Sister and in the adoration of your three nieces who it was obvious adored "Uncle Mike".

You are gone but you will not be forgotten. As was written in Romeo and Juliet "When he shall die take him and cut him out into little stars and he will make the face of heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with night and pay no worship to the garish sun."

In the moonlight, surrounded by the stars I will see that shadow again and think of you and smile.

I only met Mike one time, when he was able to visit Michigan, but my life was definitely enriched for having met him. I had a great time that evening, laughing and joking with him on the deck outside, throwing a football around the yard, and sharing a couple of cigars with him.

He will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he touched. God bless

Mike,

We can't believe yet that this has happened. You grew to be such a kind, gentle, sweet guy and we always looked forward to seeing you and checking up on your latest doings. Even though we didn't see you very often, you were never far from our thoughts. Diana thought you were the "coolest kid" and that's pretty high praise from a worldly 20-something. You have been such a presence in my life personally ever since you were born. I had to babysit you and I thought you were the brattiest thing ever! . So imagine my surprise when next I saw you and you were sweet and poised and so funny! Absolutely a blast to be around. Diana latched onto you like a burr and "Cousin Mike" was all she could talk about. We will miss you so much, Mike. But I believe you are reunited with Pampa and Grandma and together you will watch over all of us, never to be forgotten.

Love forever, Dawn, Dave and Diana
