Michael KLEIN Obituary
"Mike" 60, of Beverly Hills, formerly of Largo, died Aug. 23 while undergoing treatment for cancer. He was born on March 13, 1957 in Evanston, IL, and moved to Largo in 1965. He is survived by his wife, Vonnie; sons, Matthew (Tiffany) and Monte (Sandra); daughter, Melanie; grandsons, Monte II, Noah, Aiden, and Parker; granddaughter, India; step-grandson, Logan. He is also survived by brothers, Tom (Mary Ann) and Brian; sisters, Patricia, Margaret Patterson (David), Ann, and Judy Kahle (Craig). He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Jeanne, and infant brothers, Robert and Matthew. Mike graduated from Largo High School, where he was a member of the state-champion cross-country team. He was retired from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office and enjoyed woodworking, cooking, boating, karaoke, and being with his grandsons. A memorial service is planned for Friday, Sept. 1 at 7 pm at Grace Christian Fellowship Church in Largo.

I started with Mike at PCJ. He was an easy guy to hit it off with right away, sense of humor, calm demeanor, always professional, just a great guy. Although we took different paths in life, I would stop by to say hello when I was in the area on business. I wish there were words to ease the pain when we lose a loved one. Mike's family and many friends are in my thoughts and prayers.
