It was an absolute pleasure speaking with my Aunt and expressing my love a few days before she went to be with our Lord. The wisdom she shared, I treasure and will cherish for the rest of my life. I thanked her for the many sweet little things she would do like starting mine and my brother's first savings account when we were small children. I thank God for her life and for being apart of it. Blessings to all family and friends along with my sincerest condolences.

To the Meredith Family and Delores Bedden,

What can I say about a friend, mentor and master teacher?
Miriam Meredith Griffin was all of the above. I shall never forget my
first day as a beginning teacher in the year of 1960 at Perkins Elementary School, St. Petersburg, FL. I was assigned to Miriam Griffin´s classroom, a master teacher, to be under her tutelage for my first year. During that year I learned from her the art of teaching and learning along with the ability to accept the children where they were and build upon their skills and abilities. She had an unique way of caring and loving the children which she passed on to me. She taught me to be punctual, say what I meant and do what I said.

She and I developed a relationship/friendship/sisterhood over the years that lasted until she took her last breath. We, all will miss her many conversations and visits but we take confidence in knowing
that Miriam is now resting in the arms of JESUS. God bless the family.

Condolences to the family. I have fond memories of Miriam. She was my supervisor, in the school system, for several years. And, she was my friend. She will be missed.
