Mordecai Walker lived a tremendous life as a distinguished centenarian and Lifetime Member of the NAACP. He left a legacy resplendent with his indelible footprints in education, social justice, religious stewardship, leadership and humanitarian achievements. If only we could walk in his shoes and carry his banner of accomplishments to The Throne of Glory for over a century; remarkable and exceptionally well done. The officers and members of the NAACP stand in unison in recognizing your contributions to your family, fraternity, church and community.

Andy, I just learned of this news. I am so profoundly sorry. Mr. Walker was such a nice, wonderful person--as was your mother. I will hold dear in my heart all those wonderful summers our families visited and had good times together. You have my deepest condolences. --Teresa

Mr.Walker was my fourth grade teacher at Perkins Elementary, he had such a great influence on me and many others. What a great role model, after 60 years of being out of his class he vividly remembered me, when I saw him at the grocery store.
Rest in Peace and power What a great Qmega man was he.
