Natasha McDonald Obituary

McDonald, Natasha Lauren

passed away on May 6, 2025, in Tampa, Florida, at the age of 37. Born on June 9, 1987, in Tampa, she remained closely connected to her hometown throughout her life.

Natasha pursued a life of compassion and care, reflected in both her academic achievements and personal passions. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Florida, where her deep love for animals found an academic foundation. Later, she followed another calling and became a Registered Nurse after completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her dedication to helping others was evident in every step of her professional journey.

Her love for animals was not just a career interest but a lifelong devotion. Natasha especially cherished horses and spent countless hours riding and caring for them. Her gentle nature made her a natural with animals; they responded to the kindness and calm she radiated.

Those who knew Natasha remember her as deeply caring and sensitive - qualities that defined her relationships with people as much as with animals. She approached life with empathy and sincerity, never harboring unkindness toward anyone.

Natasha faced a lifelong struggle with mental illness, a challenge she met with quiet strength. Her journey was marked by resilience and courage that often went unseen but never unfelt by those around her.

She is survived by her father, Ian McDonald. She was preceded in death by her mother, Malini McDonald.

May Natasha's memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 14, 2025, from 10 am to 11 am at St. John's Episcopal Church 906 S. Orleans Ave., Tampa.

Dear Natasha, we have known you since you were a little one. We have many happy memories of times shared with you. We remember when you and Kate played "Jaws" in your pool. Dan was half watching you both, a book in his hand and rolling his eyes at the "silly girls!". Playing hide-and-seek while on holiday at the farm in France. There are other happy memories too which will remain in our hearts - always. Be at peace. With our love, Jayne, Brian, Dan, Kate, Harri and Stan x

Natasha´s love of horses and animals overall was so sweet. Like me I think, she enjoyed shopping and I remember her happily coming home with many bags and a big smile after a day of Christmas shopping. Will miss her dearly!

Natasha and I went to high school together and sometimes carpooled from the neighborhood. She always led with kindness and had an unforgettable smile and laugh. Her earthly light is gone too soon. May the light in her spirit shine on forever.

Natasha was one of those people who reached out to help me at various points in my life, and yet strangely, I only knew her through friends. We never met in person, but her kindness and generosity to help me and my "heartbeats" will always remain with me. I am so sorry for this loss in our world.
