Nirav Parikh Obituary

PARIKH, Nirav, 38 left to be in the arms of Shri Krishna on Saturday, November 22, 2014. Nirav was born April 17th 1976 in Patan, Gujarat India and came to America in December 16th 1990. Born to Ami and Vanraj Parikh, he was adopted by Mina Oza on July 11th 1991. He attended Gaither's High School and University of Central Florida, where he met his soul mate, Bhavini. He was the only son and brother and was always there for his family and friends in so many ways. Contracted osteomyelitis in infancy, life continued to offer him one medical diagnosis after another. He fought all sorts of cardiac and respiratory complications. He was a trooper who continued to defy death with that charm and smile that you all remember him for. Nirav was such an outgoing, positive person. He lit up a room with his presence. He touched people's heart with his culinary skills. After having two beautiful children with Bhavini, Nirav found a new life and embraced it with every cell of his body. His enthusiasm for life touched so many. He was so proud of his family strength that was contagious and felt by all who knew him well. He will be so dearly missed. He now strolls in Girirajji and Mathura which were his favorite religious places in India. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and biological father. He leaves behind his wife, Bhavini; daughter, Soniya and son, Krishaan; mothers, Mina and Ami; sisters and brother-in-law and their children, Parinda and Saurabh and their children Arushi and Avish Chandra, Prita and Raj and their children Mahiya, Riya and Ishant Buddhavarapu. A special trust fund has been established for his treasured daughter, Soniya's college funds. Information is New York State 529 College Savings Program, Account Number 377511488-03 or by making contributions directly to Bhavini Parikh as custodian for Soniya Parikh. Mr. Parikh was one of my favorite parents. His enthusiasm for life was contagious to the other parents. All the children knew him by his outgoing, friendly manner. I will continue to have pizza on Dads' Night because of his insistence on "man food." God love him. Ms. Linda Sierra Wise The Montessori House Day School

Our thoughts and prayers are with Your (Nirav) family from our family. We are in disbelief. Nirav was one of the first people I met in Tampa, had the same home room teacher during our time at Gaither High. We also had Med Skills class together. He was the life of that class. Throughout the years we spent time separated by bouts of geography, life events, etc. I recall on a few social occasions where it didn't seem like the event started until Nirav got there. Such was his presence and engagement with people from all walks of life. He had this way of bringing together disparate groups of people together. He was a good friend, intelligent, philosophical, God loving, sociable and humorous. He was even happier once Bhavini (he called her Bhav) entered his life. There are things he has told me about my life (marriage, divorce, first child will be a daughter, location of where he sees me in the future) about 15-20 years ago which have all turned out to be true; these are things that couldn't be guessed. He was someone of high consciousness and never feared life or living it fully. He is the definition of "life to years." You will be missed my friend by many and will remain in our hearts.

- Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 2, verse 20

Translation

The soul never takes birth and never dies at any time nor does it come into being again when the body is created. The soul is birthless, eternal, imperishable and timeless and is never terminated when the body is terminated.

I am still in disbelief that big Nirav has moved on to the next life. The time we all spent in USF and Tampa was so precious and I will always cherish that till I am alive. He had a big heart and always used to help the students who came from India. He introduced me to many new things in US which eventually made my life easier in the states. Big Nirav will always remain alive in many hearts
