Phillip Newcomb Obituary

NEWCOMB, Phillip "Billy" 41, of St. Petersburg, passed away after a tragic accident on Saturday, July 4, 2009. Phillip took great pride and joy in his career of 18 years as Head Knight at the Midieval Times, retiring in 2004. In pursuing his goal of becoming a police officer, Phil was currently employed by Outback Steakhouse and Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. In 2005 he met and later married his wife, Deanna, also becoming an amazing Dad to Emma Rose & Connor Kiefer. Phil was predeceased by his father, Phillip L. Newcomb and survived by his beloved daughter, Destiny, her husband Steven; future granddaughter, Neveah Victoria; his precious mother, Joan Davis; only brother, Fran Lang; loving sisters, Elizabeth Lang, Karen Moore, Joanie Buheit, Cassandra and Penny Houser; nieces, Courtney & Jessica Buheit and so many more loved ones and dear friends. Though his life was shortened on this earth Phil lived a happy, fulfilling and blessed life. He will be greatly missed and we are comforted in knowing we will see him again. A Celebration of his life will be held Friday, July 10, 2009 at 1 pm at Gulf Coast Community Church, 555 76th Ave N., St. Petersburg, FL 33702.

My heart goes out to all of Philip's family during this extremely poignant time. All of us, who got to know Philip, when he worked for Boat and Motor Superstore, knew what a devoted husband and father he was. He would always show us pictures of his children and say how happy he was since he met and married his wife. My thoughts and prayers will be with the family in this time of sorrow.
