Robert SURPRENANT Obituary

SURPRENANT, Robert T. "Bob", age 75, permanently changed his address to his heavenly home on Nov. 19, 2013. He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Barbara Bourdeau; and their four loving children, Robert T. Jr. (Darlene), Steven M. (Cheryl), Lori A. Miner (Marty) and Gregory M. (Debra); along with 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Bob gave his wife and best friend, a loving and caring heart. He worked very hard to see fulfillment of their dreams, a new profession, building their dream house, touring the Western states and Europe, enjoying Italy, France, Austria, Germany and England. After a variety of illnesses, he reflected the virtue of endurance. His family and friends have all known and appreciated his great sense of humor as one of his greatest attributes. Bob had previously worked 13 years for Behr Manning Company in Troy, NY and in 1986 moved to St. Petersburg, retiring from John Hancock, as a top leading agent. As his family we are sure God will welcome him home saying "Good job, Bob!" Although, he has left a huge hole in our lives, we know heaven just jumped for joy when he came through the door. Memorial Services were held Nov. 23, 2013 at the Maximo Park in St. Petersburg.

Dad, There isn't room enough for me to say what you have meant to me. I feel like everything I was able to do came from you teaching me. Thank you for teaching me baseball, ping pong, bowling, darts, billiards, golf, card tricks, swimming, driving a car, and wonderful lessons on life. I know that you knew all this. You are absolutely irreplaceable and no one has had a bigger impact on me than you. LOVE YOU!

Although it honestly is tough to live without such a wonderful and caring man, I'm so happy for my Pipere who is celebrating life with Jesus. He's eternally free from the pains of this planet and he'll never see sorrow again.

We will never forget you, Bob. You were an inspiration to our 50+ group, meeting at your hospitable home. Together with Barbara, you made us all feel loved and at home. Your dedication in preparing and bringing the biblical topics of discussion into our every day life, even during times that you were not feeling too good, was a great example of devotion to what you loved to do:
put the love of God in our hearts. Thank you, Bob! Some day, we will all join you in your presence with Jesus.
