I´m doing research on WW2 activities at our airport in Brooksville and ran into Bob´s work. I was so pleased to find it and very impressed with the quality and the depth of the work he had done. I wrote him and email but it was undelivered as I did a Google search and found his obituary. I´m sorry I missed him but want the family to know how valuable his work is and how much I appreciate it.

I have many fond memories of Bob. Meeting with Bob and a search group before heading off into various swamps around that area in search of lost planes, Bob telling me "no more swamps", then leading the way into yet another swamp. His input on various websites, and of course his contribution to the Warbird community in the form of his many books. Soar on, Bob. Dennis Coley

No one can prepare you for a loss; it comes like a swift wind. However, take comfort in knowing God is with you and your family lean on him in your time of need & remember,
