LACY, Roger Dale 70, lifelong resident of Tarpon Springs, died July 5, 2014. He graduated in 1961 from Tarpon Springs High School and was the class reunion treasurer. He retired from the US Air Force after 22 years of service as a Senior Master Sgt. He was a member of the Rotary Club, where he was a mentor & board member for the Seminar for Tomorrow's Leaders, past president, Assistant District Governor, District Sergeant at Arms, Paul Harris Fellow, Old Timers Club and Historical Society, all of Tarpon Springs. He was a prime example of "Service Above Self," that will live on in his legacy. He is survived by, wife, Trudi; son, Vance Kavulla; daughters, Sheila Whaley, Brenda Williams, Batina Lacy, Dawn Lacy; 12 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Seminar for Tomorrow's Leaders, 11915 81st N Ave, Seminole, FL 33772. Visitation 10-11, with a service at 11am, all on Wednesday, July 9 at the First United Methodist Church, Tarpon Springs. Burial following at Florida National Cemetery. I was shocked and saddened to see Roger's obituary. I will always have wonderful memories of him as a friend and Rotarian. His beautiful smile will be missed. My sympathy to his family.

Roger was a kind and caring man. He was co-chair as well as treasurer of our reunion committee, a real step-up-to-the-plate, take care of business kind of guy who loved his family above all else. He will truly be missed.
