Ronald PINDER Obituary

PINDER, Ronald Gale

76, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family Thursday, March 12, 2015. He was a loving husband to Janell Pinder, a wonderful father to Pat Pinder and Penny Pinder Metzkes, a grandfather to five grandchildren, Patrick Pinder, Garrett Pinder, Paige Pinder, Casey Metzkes and Max Metzkes. He served as a medic in the Army. He was an inspiring school teacher at Tarpon Springs High School. He enjoyed announcing the TSHS football games where others were exposed to his humorous witty side. He never lost his appetite for good friends and food, nor his ability to have fun. He appreciated a good handshake and had a solid grip to the end. A family poem in the spirit of Ron Pinder:

He loved and touched many lives throughout the years

To this he'd say "shed no tears"

Remember me thinking of the best to times

To this he'd say "I was a maker of rhymes"

At some point, all things must come to an end

To this he'd say "I did it well my friends"

Although we are sadly deepened by our loss, we are forever grateful for the times we shared with him. Please refer to the website www.michels-lundquist.com for the upcoming family and friends gathering planned for in the very near future.

You were mentor to my son at Tarpon High School and gave him spirit and reason in life which remained with him always. That's what made you a special teacher with so many. You will be remembered for this. RIP and thank you Mr Pinder. (Mother of Matthew Hanville)

Mr. Pinder was a wonderful man, a great teacher as well as a mentor to many! I remember my days at Tarpon High with him he always did whatever he could to keep kids on the straight and narrow and help them any way he could. He helped me study for upcoming tests and homework many times during my lunch period. He is loved and will be missed by many. His legacy will carry on Go Spongers!

Keeping all of the Pinder-Metzkes family in our prayers. I am so sorry to hear of his passing, although I didn't know him that well, through his beautiful, sweet & funny daughter Penny, I know he had to be a wonderful man--as the apple never falls far from the tree. I know you'll have many a wonderful and funny memory to cherish and I can only hope it's those loving memories that help ease the pain of his loss. Marcy and Kevin Rowe, Jacksonville, FL
