RIVERA, Rose Passed November 18, 2023. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not Perish but have eternal life John 3:16. Born in Havana, Cuba and came to the states at the age of 13 years old to New Jersey, where she met Wilfred Rivera, the love of her life. Survived by her husband, Wilfred Rivera Sr. (Tampa, FL); her children, Darlene Shumate, Lizette Rivera, Wilfred Rivera Jr. (Tampa, FL); sister, Sandra Garcia (Miami, FL); grandchildren, Giovany Ramirez, Amanda Bookman, Ariana Rivera, Samanatha Groves (Tampa, FL); great-grandchildren, Jordan Bookman (Tampa, FL). Rose attended Christian-Radiant Church and retired from self-employed child daycare. Her hobbies were bingo-Casino-slot machines (especially Elvis) Special memories; Her smile. She was always smiling and laughing When she was able to feed her squirrels and they would eat out of her hand, she would just light up. Also, her love of children. She had so much patience and love for every child she came across. It was an instant bond as soon as she would smile at them. Mom passed away peacefully as we cited the Hail Mary to her, Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
