Scott Schaller Obituary

SCHALLER, Scott Michael, 42, of Valrico, Fla., passed away September 13, 2009. Scott is survived by his loving wife, Kim; his 2 and a half year old son, Jacob; parents, Herbert and Bette; three brothers, Paul (Tami), Bob (Debbie) and Keith; and four nephews and one niece, Kurt, Kent, Kelly, Noah and Cole. Scott was born and raised in Temple Terrace, and graduated from King High School in 1985. He played college football at Pittsburg State University in Kansas, and then finished his business degree at Florida State University and the University of South Florida. After returning to Temple Terrace, he met Kim, his beloved wife. They were married February 24, 2001, and moved to Valrico to settle down. His greatest accomplishment in his short life was his beautiful son, Jacob, who was born January 30, 2009. He was so proud to be Jake' s dad and dreamed of the day when he would coach him in sports. He was co-owner of the Rent King store, located in Bradenton, Fla., and was loved by everyone who worked with him. He was happy, vibrant and full of life. He gave great hugs and had a personality that won over the hearts of everyone who met him. He had many friends. The memory of Scott will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him. A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Saturday, September 19, at Temple Terrace United Methodist Church, 5030 E. Busch Blvd., Temple Terrace, Fla. The family is setting up an educational trust fund to benefit Scott' s son, Jacob. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions to Jacob Schaller' s trust be given to a Schaller family member or mailed to Paul Schaller, Trustee, 4440 Adamo Drive, suite 401, Tampa FL 33605.

To the Schaller Family and Friends,

I was very sad to hear about Scott. I played football with Scott in High School and my memories of him are nothing but good ones. He was very tuff on the field, but off the field he was a good friend who would take the time out to listen and joke around with everyone. Unfortunately, my path lead me away from the Tampa community so I did not have the opportunity to share many momments together with Scott or any other classmates, but I really wished I would have had more time to catch up. Please except my deepest sympathies in this very trying momment.

I went to elementary school with Scott and worked with him at Busch Gardens. His personality was larger than life. He was kind to everyone and everyone loved him. My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to his family, wife Kimberly and son Jacob.

We little knew that day. God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly. In death, We do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone. For part of us went with you. The day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories. Your love is still our guide. And though we cannot see you. You are always at our side. Our family chain is broken. And nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one. The chain will link again.

I will miss you Scott. You were a Great man who raised the bar high for all to follow in your foot steps. I praise God for giving me the opportunity in becoming friends with such a remarkable man. You will be missed, But never Forgotten.
My Prayers go out to Kim, Jacob, Paul And the entire Schaller Family. May God Bless and hold all of you close to his heart.

Our sincere sympathy to the entire Schaller family. Knowing Scott as a young man, there is no wonder that he grew up to be such a wonderful person. We are so sorry that we did not know of his passing until today. Our thoughts are with you both, Herb and Bette, as well as to Scott's brothers, and to his wife and son.

My deepest sympathy to the Schaller family and his wife, Kim and son Jacob. Sending thoughts of peace, strength and wisdom to you all during this time of sadness. I knew Scott since Temple Terrace Elementary and throughout high school and he was the most geniune man. A comedian as well in those days. It is often difficult to understand "When Bad Things Happen to Good People" (a book) and hope that one day it may all make sense somehow.

I don't understand why you have been taken from us, other than God had a bigger purpose for you. Must have been something very special to him to have needed you by his side. Well can't blame him for his choice, as he has seen how you have affected so many lives. You have affected my life, and you will continue to do so. Thank you Scott for being a friend, and thank you for every wonderful memory you have given to me and so many others.
