Shirley TYLER Obituary

TYLER, Shirley A. of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away peacefully in her home, Thursday July 18, 2024, in the arms and in the care of loved ones. Born August 27, 1928 in Hazleton, PA, she proudly forged a career in accounting, culminating with her own successful tax and accounting business in St. Petersburg, FL for over 35 years. Shirley was married for 17 years to Charles Tyler, and raised three children of whom she was immensely proud. Shirley is survived by her son, David (Lyn) of Glendale, AZ; her daughter, Jeanne (John) Segars of St. Petersburg; as well as three grandsons; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Foster; and her brothers, Robert Brandau and Walter Brandau. Donations in honor of Shirley's life may be made to Suncoast Hospice Empath Health of St. Petersburg or to Trinity Lutheran Church.

Jeanie, your Mother was a beam of light and I enjoyed knowing her for almost 30 yrs. She was a mentor to many people in her community. She loved her family and always spoke of you all with great pride and joy. With sympathy. The Howards, Cindi, Brandy and Dirk.
