I was very saddened to hear of Dr. Maughan's passing. He was a truly special person. He was a wonderful doctor as well. He always had that wonderful smile on his face. I loved hearing his stories about things that happened in his life. They were always inspiring and humorous. On thing that I remember about him was his incredible memory. He would ask you about something that you mentioned only in passing weeks before. He always amazed me. He always talked about his family and was so proud of them.

My son is studyng to become a chiropractor and he used to tell me that he thought that it would be great to work with Dr. Maughan. Since that is no longer possible, he can use him as his role model. I'm sure Steve would like that a lot. God bless you Steve, you will be greatly missed.

Last week when I got the call that Dr. Maughan had passed away, my mind drifted back on a mental journey, one that started when I was about 7 years old. Wednesday afternoon's in Dr. Maughan's office, Lawanda and the other girls, stories of playing football with the buccaneer's, Dr. Maughan's cold hands. Time changed me from child into a man and Dr. Maughan was always a steady and faithful friend. Dr. Maughan encouraged me to dream big and always had a good word. I wanted the family to know that Dr. Maughan made a big impact on this young man’s life and I am grieving with you.

"Dr. Steve", you did more for me in the short time I went to you than anyone had done in a very long time. You were not only a gentleman, but you were a gentle man. The men looked up to you and the women adored you. God Bless you and your family...we know that you are seated at the right hand of God and will never have to suffer again. You will be sorely missed!!

Steve was one of the bravest people I had the pleasure to spend a portion of my life with. He had a long struggle and I hope he is at peace now.

My heart goes out to Linda, Alec, and Jacqueline.

He will remain in the hearts of all who loved him forever.
