So many things are happening and have happened but memories in a normal state of mind, a person remembers years, decades and days gone by. I still remember Dr. Schwartz kindness at Mease Hospital when I was a patient and his spirit is still with those who truly appreciated him. Everyone I hope will be well and take care.

The world has truly lost a great man. I worked in Dr. Schwartz's office at Main Street Medical in the 80's and just cannot say enough good things about him. The man was compassionate, caring, kind, giving, and truly one of a kind. He treated his office staff with great respect and gratitude and treated his patients with kindness and compassion, and they truly loved him. He was well respected by his peers, by all those he worked with at the hospitals and at the dialysis unit and I'm sure he's greatly missed. He treated everyone alike. My condolences go out to his children Carter, Kelly, Casey, and his grandchildren, his siblings, and other members of his family.

Dr schwartz was the best dr my family had. For 20 years he took care of me my husband my mother in law and granddaughter . He was the kindest , most humble Dr I ever met. He never rushed anyone out the door but took time to explain and answer your questions. He will be missed . The Plummer family

When my doctor was away and I became worse at home, I phoned the answering service and Dr. Neuwirth returned the call and told me to get to ER. I ended up being an inpatient and Dr. Neuwirth checked on me and said Dr. Schwartz would also be checking on me and he sure did, everyday he was there, sometimes by the bedside and other times sitting on the chair. I will remember Dr. Schwartz fondly and he will be deeply missed by many but forever in our thoughts.

I met Dr. Schwartz over four years ago in extreme bad health prior to a major surgery. NOT liking doctors, Dr Schwartz made you feel good to be sick! I lost one kidney and have severe non function of the remaining one. He has coordinated my care since then even close to death. He never gave up on me yet perplexed by my severe health condition. He has supported us emotionally and medically all these years. I am truly devastated by this awful tragedy and my heart hurts for his family all the kind staff and their family. I can only say THANK YOU to his wife and Dr. PATTON for taking over and continuing his practice and treating all of his many patients like myself who depend on the continued high quality of care and compassion. This is a true tribute to him and what he stood for and his true sincere love of us his extended family....all of his patients! Thank You for caring for us and love you for that. DR S. is and will continue to watch over us all and is our angel...in an awesome place to continue to help us All! I truly will forever miss his love and wisdom and his loving touch..better than any medicine in this world. Mary Creadon, Fl.

Dr. Schwartz was a great man, and as his patients, my husband and I will miss him. He had a great sense of humor and a very upfront, tell-it-like-it-is attitude that we both appreciated. Our condolences are with the family. We cannot even imagine your loss. Our thoughts are with you.

I am so saddened and shocked by the passing of Dr Schwartz. Dr Schwartz was my nephrologist since the 80's and has treated me for a stroke back then and for my kidney disease for all these years. He was so happy when I finally received a kidney transplant in 2011. He was a very professional physician with a wonderful personality and he truly cared for his patients' . Even though he lived lavishly, he cared for us Medicaid and Medicare patient's on a limited income and he was not greedy as some physicians are. I send my sincere condolences to his family and in my opinion, there is no other replacement for Dr. Schwartz.

I can't find the words to express my shock and sadness to hear about Dr. Schwartz. He was my parent's physician for years but I did not meet him until my father died and I became my mother's caregiver. His honesty and realistic approach helped me make a vital end of life decision and after my mother passed on he sent me a letter saying my care had extended her life. He was a compassionate, caring man and no one will ever fill his shoes. RIP Dr. Schwartz.

I knew Dr. Schwartz through the dialysis clinic. He was a great doctor and, more importantly, an all around great guy. I used to love visiting his office to talk with him and learn from him.

His good nature and sense of humor showed in the great staff he has in his practice and dialysis unit. I hope they will carry on Dr. Schwartz's legacy by continuing their great work with their patients. He is missed very much.

Im so sad, and still in shock, Dr Schwartz has been my Dr. For over 27 years, he saved me and my daughters life from a bad kidney infection when I was pregnant, I just saw him at the Rays game and talked to him, not knowing that would be the last time I would see him, Im truly still sick and and in shock he was the nicest Dr and person , I will never find a Dr. Like him again , I will miss you so much ! RIP. fromyour patient.

Dr. Schwartz was a rare find. The perfect mix of compassion, intelligence, respect, humor, and kindness. My mom Sadie, was in awful condition until she became his patient, and through his tenacity and caring, he turned her life around. He told her once "you're not 17 anymore Petunia" when age began to catch up to her. She still talks about that time often and laughs like it was just minutes ago. It was that type of humor and medicine that made her a loyal fan. She and I will miss him deeply. Until we all meet again in paradise, God, Bless his loved ones and keep them safe.

Dr. Schwartz was my Husbands Physician for many years. He would always walk in the exam room and say "how are you doing young man"? As an employee of BayCare, he was always compassionate and kind to not only the Patients, but their Family Members as well. We will miss you

My heart is broken for he was more like a brother to me . He Would come in the room and always say Hi Mrs. R. It is so hard to write this and know he is gone . I just can't believe it. He was with me from the beginning over 20 years. Then when I lost my husband of 45 years , he took so much time with me trying to console me and getting me through that horrible time. Gosh I loved him so much. I know he is up in Heaven looking down on all of us and busy as usual doing God's work. I am so shocked over loosing this wonderful man who cared so much for all of us. Still can't believe he is gone. I am so broken hearted . I could never had made it , if it were not for his true loving care for me , let alone saving my life a couple times. I send much Love and prayers to his family and to you Dear Doc.

Dr. Schwartz truly honestly loved his patients. He would often give his own money to patients who could not afford to buy prescription medications. When I needed time off to tend to family emergencies, he would be the first one to lend a helping hand. I am forever grateful for the love and kindness he had shown me. He was such a wonderful mentor, teacher, friend, and colleague. My deepest condolences and sympathy to Becky and their family.

We feel totally sad and lost realizing that we can no longer see or speak with Dr. Schwartz, the most caring, generous, and thoughtful physician whom we also considered a friend. He was always there regardless of the time of day and took the time to answer all questions and concerns so that when you said good-bye after each visit you immediately felt things would be better. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Dr. Schwartz was my doctor and my late husband's doctor. My husband passed away a year ago June. He loved Dr.Schwartz, particularly for his candor, genuine caring and his personality. My husband had a devastating illness which caused much anxiety with periods of depression. He always left Dr. Schwartz office feeling less anxious, supported and 'heard'.
During my husband's illness I had to take time off from work to care for my husband and then to care for myself. Dr. Schwartz helped facilitate this for me. He cared for and about my husband and me. I feel honored to have known him.
