I'm at a loss for words, but Tasha deserves my best attempt, so here goes: Tasha was my best friend in high school, and we traveled to many places together. She had a smile that lit her eyes and rarely was that smile missing from her visage. She lived her life without letting her disability slow her down--in fact, I didn't see her as disabled at all. Perhaps that is why this loss has shocked and hurt me so much--Tasha was a force, and I had no doubt that I had all the time in the world to make the trek down to Florida to visit her. I shall regret not doing so in time, for the rest of my life. But the one thing that I know and loved about my dear friend was her acceptance of me and all my flaws, and how she never judged anyone. She was a bright light in so many lives and I'm heartbroken that her light was extinguished far too soon. I pray for you, Mr. and Mrs. Vincent and her husband Kurt, during this difficult time. I know you have your faith to get you through this and I also know that I've talked to Tasha in my prayers and if she's listening, I'm expecting a full tour of "what is next" from my beloved friend. Please accept my sincerest condolences and thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Vincent, for bringing into the world such a beautiful soul. I loved her so very much.
