Thomas HANLEY Obituary
"Tom" of Clearwater, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at the age of 66. Tom is survived by his daughters, Leslie Ann Hanley and Lauren Grace Hanley, whom he shared with friend and former spouse, Rosalie Hanley. He is also survived by sister, Marilyn (Alex) Meloy, sister, Nancy (Douglas) Cowley, brother, James (Janet) Hanley, sister, Margaret "Peggy" (Kerwin) Small, as well as many nieces, nephews, and their children. He was preceded in death by his parents, James T. Hanley Jr. and Grace (Hanley) Diedrich. Tom was born Feb. 2, 1949, in Evanston, IL. He graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1971 and was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity. He earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation in 1989 and spent his working years in corporate accounting and finance. Tom was an active and dedicated member of the Kiwanis Club of Springtime City for nearly 32 years, 19 years of which he served as Treasurer. A private burial service will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. All are invited to attend a memorial service Friday, April 24, at 1 pm at First United Methodist Church of Clearwater 411 Turner Street, Clearwater, FL.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Tom's family. I have known Tom ever since he joined our Kiwanis Club 32 years ago, so for along time. I know the club appreciated all the years he served as Treasurer. I just enjoyed Tom's friendship at Kiwanis meetings and projects, like the Ed Wells Kiwanis Track meet. Our family will miss Tom so much. He was like a bonus grandpa to our boys & we so enjoyed our time spent with him. He loved his daughters so much & I know is proudly watching over them from Heaven. You will be missed ❤

It is so sad to learn of Tom's passing. He was a friend who enjoyed common interests, golfing and Florida State. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. We will miss him.
