I have spent some time thinking back to when I first met Walter and Ann --great and funny time in Albany, Georgia. It was a shock to hear of his passing--we had spoken and caught up on so many things in our lives about a year ago. He was a brilliant man with strong opinions that you could depend on. I know he will be greatly missed...

My deepest sympathy goes out to Walt's family at this time of sorrow. Walt was a great friend to all who knew him. He was a true gentleman and a very kind soul. The RHS C/O 1971 was a much better class with Walter Reid in it. You will be truly missed my friend.

I had the privilege of working with Walt at Lockheed Martin. I believe he invented the smiley face in emails. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and hope they find comfort in knowing he is with the Lord.

Reid Family and Friends,
I was saddened to learn of Walter's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I worked with him while I was the site manager at LM Clearwater. He was a wonderful person - brilliant, dedicated, and fun to be around. He was a gift from God and I'm thankful he was in my and so many others life.
So be encouraged. Although he went too soon, he made everyday count and his light still shines in all of us.

Walter you will truly be missed by not only your family but your classmates of 1971. I enjoyed the laughter and the smile you always had on your face , and the short visit when we ran into each other over at Bridget Jones home and the small talk about old times it seems like a life time SIP and take your rest.our hearts are so heavy right now another classmate gone too soon and to the family just remember that he will keep you in perfect peace just keep your mind stayed on him.
