Dr. Lafferty was our family doctor for many years out in North Tampa. He helped us "raise" our three children and even took our youngest son Jim up for his first plane ride many years ago. We will always remember him as a caring physician who always knew what to say to make us feel better, both physically and emotionally. In fact, we used to marvel at no matter how terribly we felt when we went to see him, we always felt much better after our visit, even though he might not have done anything more than listen and tell us we would be fine. We share your sadness in his passing but we know he is still helping others in Heaven......

Although I only had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Lafferty on one short visit to Lakeland, I saw what wonderful inspiration for Julie he has been.

She was so deeply motivated by him, and as his only daughter held him in the highest esteem possible.

I am positive that Dr. Lafferty will be greatly missed by his multitudes of friends, patients, family and those others who passed on his love of life, family and mankind.

My deepest sympathies go out to the family and especially Julie, in this time of tremedous loss.

Although I never met or knew Dr. Lafferty, Julie has always spoken with such high regard about her father. In the past few years that I have been friends with Julie, I know that she got her compassion from him. I can only I only wish that I had the chance to meet him. My thoughts and prayers are with Julie and her family.

What great memmories I have of Dr. Lafferty growing up. He was the best looking man and always had a smile on his face. He was a great father and loved his family. He will be greatly missed by all. My thoughts and prayers reach out to the family who I know are deeply saddened. May God give you the strength you need to get through this time.

Dr. Lafferty made me feel like a friend, not like a patient. I will miss him and his humor.

Dr. Lafferty was my doctor from college through the early childrearing years, and I always enjoyed visiting with him. He was a good, kind man, and I still chuckle over some of the things he said to me. As I taught his sons before my marriage, every doctor visit was also a parent conference. My sympathies go out to his family.

He was the most awesome father. He was gentle natured, compassionate, and totally down to earth. He loved us very much and loved his patients. His family and patients kept him going. He touched so many lives over his lifetime. He will always be remembered and always loved. OUR HEARTS ARE HEAVY BECAUSE HE FILLED OUR HEARTS WITH SO MUCH LOVE.
