I want to Scream at you..!!!! you have no idea at the things that have happen since you been gone,, and left so sudden.. I am glad that you came to say good bye to me.. It was a strange good bye when you came by moms that day.. for some reason.. I am missing you today.. don't know why.. just am.. I am So mad at you.. wait till I see you again.. Your going to get it.. !!!

Five years. Wow. Reading this still makes me just as sad as it did then; the world lost a great human. Still think of him often. Soon, I'll achieve my dreams of becoming an RN too. I know he'd be proud. I hope to leave a lasting impression on another heart just like Lane did on mine and so many others. Miss you Lane, and your beautiful wife.

Hey Lane, I know it's been a while. After I was informed by our friend and neighbor Paul of your passing, I just walk across the street to sit in my garage in disbelief. So many thoughts goes through a person mind when a passing is heard. During that time of refection, many memories were smiles and some laughter.
Life and time just fly by so fast. Between work, family and just everyday life, I wish I took up more of the many invites. The few myself or family did attend, we always walked home feeling welcomed and certainly had a good time. After I built my home down the street from you and settled in back in 2010, we met back in the woods when me and my daughter was searching for her cat. You were always there if I needed anything as well as schooling me of our little piece of paradise we all share in the woods.
From all of the four wheeling riding, target shooting, or just you stopping by just to say hey. Other funny thoughts like the night 2 Thanksgiving's ago getting my in laws stuck in the muck in the back forty on your side by side to breaking my 30' bridge after I told you only one vehicle at a time not one side by side and 3 four wheelers.
After the news and myself sitting in the garage thinking of your family and what a loss this community has lost. I looked up at the side of the track of the garage door noticing a bottle opener hanging on a hook I last used when you last stopped by just to say hey. Your friend and neighbor, Chuck

Lane, what is there to say but Thank You. Thank you for being such a good friend, great coworker, awesome dad, and an incredibly loving husband. You make me want to count my blessings every day, and strive to be a better person. Sabrina, thank you for sharing your best friend, you and the kids were truly the reason for his being and he was not afraid to let us know it. He was a lucky man to have you as his wife and Emily and Ryen as his kids. He always let us know that too. May God bless you giving you strength to get through this difficult time until you can be with him again. We are better people for knowing Lane.

So thankful to have known and worked with Lane. Blown away that he is really gone, but I know we will see him again someday. I'm sure he's sharing his laughter in heaven. My thoughts and prayers are with Sabrina and the children. Love you guys.

Where do I even begin ? You have left a hole so deep in all of us ... We all miss you terribly . I can only find comfort knowing your in heaven now ... Looking down on us . You were taken to soon my friend ... Way before anyone was ready to let go of you ! We will keep our " it's a tradition " alive in your memory . We will hunt again soon my friend . I wish you knew how much you were loved. Your trail to your tree stand will be named lanes lane .. I would give anything for " five more minutes that I will never get back with you" . Lane, you will be truly missed my friend. You definitely made UCH/FHT a great place to work. You made us all laugh even through some of the toughest times. To Sabrina, I just want you to know that I have you and your family in my prayers and I wish that I could be there but I had to go out of town for another funeral. Stay strong. We all love you!!!

It's been a few years since seeing him last at UCH Fletcher and even longer since my time working with Lane at BRH. He was an amazing mentor and such a caring nurse. I consider myself blessed to have known the man the myth the legend.

I haven't seen Lane in a few years but the time I spent working with him and his wife at BRH were wonderful. He always could put a smile on your face even during the stress of ER patient care. Smart man, witty, and caring. He was my husband's nurse in the ER once and we always jokingly accused him of taking my husband's shoes that went missing during the hospital visit. Love and miss you Lane!

Lane was a wonderful person. We just had the pleasure of knowing him since july when my husband had a stroke. He became one of our family members and loved to drink sweet tea everytime he came too see Eddie. We love you friend.Eddie is so thankful too have had your help in his recovery.
