Charles J. Andrade

Charles J. Andrade, age 90 of East Taunton passed away on February 3, 2021 at Nemasket Healthcare Center in Middleboro, MA. Charles was born in Taunton, the son of the late Manuel and Maria (Pita) Andrade. He served for three years in the Army National Guard from 1953-1956. Charles was a self-employed electrician in the Taunton and Raynham area. He was a hard working electrician and also a supportive uncle who mentored several nephews as electrical apprentices during his career that led to the next generation of electricians in the Andrade family. Charles was briefly married to Joan Viera, and during that time they cared for Tammy Wilmoth, who he remained close to over the years. Mr. Andrade is the last of his Andrade siblings to pass. He was brother to the late Henry Andrade of Dayton, Ohio; Mary Texeira, Rose Lecuyer, and Sadie DePonte of East Taunton; John Andrade of Taunton; Manuel Andrade and Daniel Andrade of Raynham; and Virginia Rebello of Taunton. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. A private grave-side service will be held at Saint Joseph Cemetery. Arrangements are with Silva Funeral Home of Taunton. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date at the Holy Family Church in East Taunton. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the MSPCA in his memory.
