Claudio Vazquez, 84 years old, passed away on July 12, 2018 with his fam- ily by his side at the home he shared with the love of his life, Diane Churchill Morris. Born in Cayey, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Feliciano and Antonio (Bulgado) Vazquez. He was one of the oldest among many brothers and sisters. Of which he always had the heart to take care of them all. As a young man he courageously went to Michigan and worked in farming. Shortly after, he left Michigan for Medina, New York where he worked at the Campbell Soup Company for many years. He was married and moved his young family to Massachusetts where he worked as a Bricklayer in Easton, a factory worker at Datel in Mansfield, and as a custodian in the Attleboro Public Schools until retire- ment. Throughout his retirement he worked as a Crossing Guard for the Attleboro Pubic Schools. Claudio enjoyed having a garden and sharing his produce, Fishing, dancing, going to Foxwoods, watching the Red Sox and Patriots and spending time with his family and friends. He was a compassionate, gentle, and kind man willing to give all he had to help others. Everyone who met Claudio knew he was special by his genuine, friendly and willingness to help personality. He was a gifted man with the ability to do almost anything with his hands and mind. He is survived by his partner, Diane Churchill Morris, his daughter Lillian Burt and her husband Robert Burt, Jr., sons, William Maltorell and his wife Theresa Maltorell and James Vasquez and his wife Noemi Vazquez of Las Vegas, his surrogate step children Tracy Churchill Gustafson and her husband Todd Gustafson and Brain Churchill and his wife Colleen Churchill. He is the grandfather of Marisol Lim- auro, Candice Marshall, Michelle Thimas, William Maltorell, Jr., Albert Maltorell, Vanessa Roque, Analise Maldonado, Evan Bantolina, Erica Faircloth, Evric Vazquez, Alexandra Vazquez, Victoria Vazquez and he is also the great grandfather of 22. Claudio was the former husband of Ramona( Suarez) Vasquez. He is also survived by 8 living siblings. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral from the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave. ( Route 138 South) Taunton on Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Marys Church Taunton at 10 AM.
