Eugene Botellio Obituary

Eugene D. Botellio, 78, of Taunton passed away on the morning of January 19, 2016 at Morton Hospital following a brief illness. He was the loving brother of John A. Botellio and Donald P. Botellio, both of Taunton. Gene is reunited with his parents the late Antone C. and Mary L. Botellio, as well as his late brother Edward C. Botellio, Ernest Botellio, George E. Botellio and Robert A. Botellio. He is survived and will forever be missed as the beloved uncle of several nieces and nephews. Gene was born on September 2, 1937 in Santuit, a section in the town of Barnstable, MA. Shortly after his birth, his parents moved their family to Taunton, the city that Mr. Botellio was proud to call home for 74 years. He would go on to enlist into the United States Army and served his country honorably before working in the Shipping Department for Texas Instruments for many years. Gene enjoyed his leisure and will also always be remembered for his kind and gentle nature. A visitation will be held on Tuesday January 26th from 10-11a.m. at Taunton Funeral Home 8 Crapo St (off Tremont St/Rte. 140) Taunton. A Memorial talk will take place following the visitation in the funeral home, rendered by the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness. Burial with Military Honors performed by the United States Army will follow in Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton. Online condolences may be made at www.tauntonfuneral.com.
