Andre Morin Obituary

Andre R. Morin

Port St. Lucie, FL

Andre R. Morin, 78, of Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away Dec. 18, 2016 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce, FL.

Born in Fall River, Mass on Jan. 21, 1938, he spent his early life in St. Joseph's Orphanage and graduated from Msgr. Prevost High School. Mr. Morin received his BS in French from Syracuse University and did post graduate work in Systems Management at SUNY Binghamton and the University of MD.

He was a long-term member of the military and distinguished himself as an Interrogator/Translator with the OSL. In 1992, after twenty-five years of service, he retired as a Division Manager of the advertising agency, L.M. Berry and Company.

In retirement, he donated time to his Church as Network/Systems Manager and to his community as a mover in the Kings Isle Computer Club. He was a passionate Conservative trained in the art by his wife, Susan.

He leaves behind Susan of Port St. Lucie; Emma Goldman, his Yorkie and daughters, Andrea of New York and Amy of Albuquerque; son, Patrick of Virginia; stepsons, Thomas Ruden of Texas and Will Ruden of New York, and ten lovely, loving and bright grandchildren to whom he was known as "favorite grandpa". He also leaves behind two or three liberal friends and never regretted not having more.

He was predeceased by Peaches, a member of the family.

Visiting hours are not scheduled per wishes because he hated being subjected to that tradition. Remembrances can be made in his name to the building fund of St. Bernadette's Church, the Catholic parish to which he was devoted.

A Memorial service will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea, Saltaire, NY.

Arrangements entrusted to Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 SE Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL www.aycockportstlucie.com.

Dear Carol,

Kindly accept my deepest sympathy for the sad loss of André. We shared many hilarious and mischievous moments together at Prevost High, so many that he, Jesse Ferland and I earned the following dubious title : The Outlaws . That is the origin of the name Jesse, as in James. I can't recall the dubious nicknames that André and I inherited ,but I can assure you that they were not preceded by Saint.

May he rest in peace.

Dear Susan,
I don't believe there are words that can ease the pain of losing a husband, a partner, the love of your life. Andre was a kind, thoughtful and loving sole. He was a man who always tried to be a positive force in the life of everyone he met. I had the honor to work with Andre at L.M. Berry in Rochester, NY during early 80s. Although we were not what you would call close friends, we did have Andre over for dinner a couple of times. He was such class act, he always brought wine and a house gift. He never spoke ill of anyone and in fact he always had something good to say about everyone. Several years ago, I started receiving his emails. . .again, a class act. Never a time-wasting joke, just first class photos and important messages. This man will be missed by every life he graced with his friendship. Our prayers are with you in hopes that God will comfort you through these days and years. Although we have never met you Susan, having known Andre, you must be very special. We know that Andre has probably left you with a whole trove of good times and wonderful memories to comfort you through the years ahead. I'm sure that God is pleased with Andre and what he did with his life. May God bless and keep you. Please accept our deepest sympathy.
