ANN GABLE

ANN (GIANUNZIO) GABLE Ann Gable died peacefully at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Thomas Buron, in Haymarket, VA, where she was lovingly cared for since 2008. Ann was born on August 28th, 1925 and was married to the late DeWitt Talmadge Gable, for 48 years before his death, at age 65, in 1991. They met while DeWitt was in the Navy and spent several years traveling with the Navy until they settled in West Bridgewater. Gabe, as he was known, worked as a contractor after the Navy and Ann helped him out with many of the day to day chores in construction. They eventually moved to Bridgewater and after their three children graduated from school, moved to Cape Cod and loved the Cape Cod Experience. They both especially loved Pleasant Bay and requested that some of their ashes eventually end up there. They both decided to find a second home in Florida, and eventually spent half the year on Cape Cod and the other half in Jensen Beach, FL. Ann was a very energetic and athletic person and loved to roller skate and ride her bike and most of all, dance. She was very active into her early 80's before she was diagnosed with Alzhimer's disease. Ann is survived by her three children and their spouses, Suzanne and Thomas Buron of Haymarket, VA, James Gable and wife Simone Byrne of Chatham and William Gable and wife Mary Whitney of Dennis. Ann also had the great joy of her four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. There will be a private family celebration of her life scheduled for a later date.
