David D. Wetherell

Vero Beach - David Dayton Wetherell of Vero Beach died peacefully on July 14th, 2021 at the Vero Beach Hospice House. David was born on August 22, 1966 in Dayton, Ohio. At 2 years old, he moved to Guilford, CT and in 1996, he moved to Vero Beach, FL.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Elizabeth Wetherell and 2 loving children, David J. Wetherell and Katelyn Wetherell of Vero Beach, his mother, Carolyn Capelli of West Haven, CT and non-biological father, Ronald Munro of Branford, CT. David was pre-deceased by his biological father, David Wetherell. He was a loving brother to his 3 sisters, Anita Poulton (David) of Wallingford, CT, Michelle Munro-Handy (Paul) of North Haven, CT and Cassendra "Sandy" Munro of Santa Monica, CA.

David graduated from Guilford High School in 1985 and attended Eli Whitney Technical School in Hamden, CT. He was a plumber for 36 years. He was a hardworking man who devoted his life to his family and was a loyal friend, helping anyone in need.

He was a life-long Star Trek and Star Wars fan, and had a passion for NASCAR Racing and the New York Giants.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Vero Beach Hospice House for their care and kindness to the family during the difficult time.

A 'Celebration of Life' service is scheduled for 2:00PM on August 1 at the Morning Star Presbyterian Church at 698 Timber Ridge Trail SW Vero Beach, FL. 32962. In lieu of flowers, donations can be offered at the Vero Beach Hospice House.
