To my Best Friend & Brother,
We met when we were babies,
We've been Best Friends ever since-
Through tears & fears you never forsake me.
You've been my loyal supporter ,...You're not just my Best Friend, but you're my BROTHER.
You always saw the best in me even when I was too blind to see. You've been a blessing in my life & I'm so grateful to God above. I miss & think of you everyday,& I know that God will take good care of you until we meet again - - one day.

I miss you Duane. I am so very grateful to have had such a loving brother. I know you are watching over us. It had been so shocking and sudden that even now, it is difficult to believe you are gone. Though you are gone, you are not forgotten. Your humor, kindness and love live in in all whose lives you touched. I, for one, will never forget you! Thank you for being such an ardent supporter. Thanks, most of all, for your humor! I am certain we will remember our laughter most of all.
All my Love, Your sister, Bonnie

My deepest sympathy to Duane's loved ones. I first met Duane in 1979. He was always happy, always smiling and would goof around to get you to smile. A life cut short to soon. Ride with the angels Duane.

I graduated with Duane from Martin CountyHS and was friends with Marie his wife. Although I didn't know him well and have lived in Wisconsin for the last 25 years, I remember him as being a very nice man. My heart felt condolences and prayers go out to Marie and a those who loved him.

I had not seen Duane since he was a young man in high school in Stuart, FL., the same school that my two oldest sons graduated from. However,Bonnie's (his sister) love for him and the stories of his adventures and growth into the fine man he bacame, kept Duane very alive in my heart and thoughts. I understand the love for him that is shared by his brothers and sisters, and my condolences and love go out to them at this very tragic time. And I send, also, heartfelt sympathy to his extended family.

We met Duane through Disney over thirty years ago. Such a nice and kind person and always smiling and laughing. We will always look back and laugh at the memories of the Monday night poker games with the whole gang. You will be dearly missed and our prayers are with your family and loved ones at this difficult time.

Duane and I worked together when he was full time at Disney and then later, and more recently, as he did part-time media tech work for Disney. I will always have great memories of great conversations Duane and I had about work and non-work topics. I will always admire Duane's ability to be professional and almost always live by the motto of "treat others like you would like to be treated" as well as "if you don't have something nice to say about someone then best not to say anything at all". My sincere condolences to all family and friends! We will all miss having you around! Rest in peace!

I only knew Duane for 3 days during a Siemens event in Colorado recently. He was always smiling and had some great stories. I took pride in getting Duane to laugh at my jokes. He was very excited to get married. I am so sorry for your loss.

Duane and I met the summer of 1977. He and Greg McCaffrey had just graduated from high school (I think) and were now working full time for Disney. Duane had worked at the Burt Reynolds Theater in Jupiter. I had been studying technical theater at FTU (now UCF) and I too had just started full time at Disney. It was a magical time working for Scott Powhatan. So many nights - in the middle of the night at the Castle Forecourt (or some other stage in the Magic Kingdom). We all took our turn at the Luau, the Diamond Horseshoe, Hoopty Doo, the movies at Ft. Wilderness and of course, the Ballroom of the Americas crew. Early days for the theme parks and the earliest days of convention/trade shows. I cannot express how much fun we had. We were all so young, and we were given so much opportunity to stretch back then. Duane was ALWAYS the laughing, smiling one. I remember that he really liked Richard Pryor and could quote him...and he did a pretty good impression actually! I was quite smitten with Duane back then. Most of the people we met and worked with during those years continued to be friends..some even became executives! and yet, somehow, we were always able to go back to those early days when it was just a few of us - and we did it all. Because of Duane - we did it well and we did it fun. I'm so very sad our paths will not again cross unexpectedly - I was always so excited to see him in the halls of DEG. RIP my friend.

Duane, you were always, always a true gentleman in all sense of the word. Your spirit and laughter will be missed at all future class events. Please hang with Jay and our other classmates in Heaven and know you will never be forgotten. Don't worry, we'll keep Marie close and help her heal - if that's possible. RIP my friend.
