Earlist Green Obituary

Earlist Green, 80, died April 16, 2012, at Treasure Coast Hospice House in Fort Pierce. He was born in Quincy and lived in Fort Pierce for 60 years, coming from Rochester, N.Y. He retired from Rochester's Laborer Union in New York. He was a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Pierce. Survivors include his wife, Lillie Green of Fort Pierce; sons, Earlist Green Jr. and Ronnie Green, both of Fort Pierce, and Jimmy Evans of Rochester; daughters, Carolyn Green and Gwendolyn Delgado, both of Fort Pierce; sister, Bernice Ingram of Fort Pierce; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joyce Green; brothers, George Green and Henry Green Sr.; sister, Ruby Davis Stokes; and one grandchild. Services: Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. April 27 at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church. A homegoing service will be at 11 a.m. April 28 at the church. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sarah's Memorial Chapel. A guestbook is available at www.sarahsmemorial.com.
