Geraldine Smith McAfee

Geraldine Smith McAfee, 94, died Oct. 16, 2012, in Thousand Oaks, Calif. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas, and lived in John's Island and Oak Harbor in Vero Beach from 1980 to 2007 before moving to California. Survivors include children, Joe McAfee, Bill McAfee, Rita Johnson, and Tom McAfee; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; grandson, Michael Johnson; and daughter-in-law, Mary Russo McAfee. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Wind Symphony, 550 Plains Church Road, Mars, Pa. 16046. Services: A service is planned for a future date at John's Island. Arrangements are by Griffin Family Funeral Chapels, Thousand Oaks.
