HARRY HECK Obituary


HARRY K. HECK, 82, of Sewalls Point, FL passed away peacefully on January 20, 2014. Born in Cambridge, MA he has resided in the Stuart area for the past 27 years, moving to Florida from Grosse Ile, MI. Prior to retiring he was the owner of H. & H. Wholesale, Inc. and Downriver Bar & Restaurant Supply, both of Trenton, MI. Harry was a Sgt. in the US Air Force, a Mason and member of the Elks. He was a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics, a Motorcycle Safety Foundation instructor, ATV Safety instructor, tennis instructor, USGA member, Martin County Sheriff's volunteer and a licensed Real Estate Agent and Broker. He was an avid golfer, tennis player, motorcycle rider for 62 years, ran the Detroit Marathon at the age of 50, sports car racer, offshore and sail boater, cross country and downhill skier, oil painter in Cleveland and New York, fly fisherman, radio control airplane builder, bridge and poker player. Surviving are his beloved wife, Sue (Bittner) Heck, loving son, Jeff Heck and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Harry K. Heck Sr., mother Margaret (Kenny) Heck and sister Nancy (Heck) Brodie. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations in his memory be made to charities of your choice.
