Irving L. Porter

Irving L. Porter, 82, died June 23, 2013, in Indiantown. He was born in Cohasset County, Minn., and lived in Indiantown for 10 years, coming from Aurora, Colo. He was a Navy veteran, serving during the Korean War He retired as a coatings engineer for Valspar Paint in Denver for 22 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and a member of the VFW and American Legion. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Merna Porter of Indiantown; sons, Adam Porter of Indiantown and David Porter of Lake Worth; and five grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 S.E. Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997. Services: Graveside services with military honors will be at 11:30 a.m. July 1 at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth. Arrangements are by Aycock Funeral Home in Stuart.
