Joan Marie Edwards, 82, of Massillon, OH, died November 9, 2015 in Chapel Hill, NC. She was born in Canton, OH, March 1, 1933, the daughter of Carl Andreas Cseak, Sr. and Nancy Estelle Riggle Cseak.
She was the eldest of six as she grew up during the Great Depression and WWII. After marrying Gerald Edwards, she had two children and spent her life being a devoted and loving mother, sister, daughter, and eventually a grandmother. She was kind and loyal to her friends, and she further benefitted the world as a manager, volunteer, teacher, and artist. She will be sorely missed by the many people whose lives she touched.
Survivors include her daughter Jennifer Edwards and son Jeffrey Edwards, granddaughters Morgan, Erika, Claire, Alexandra, and Grace, husband Joseph Matsey, and siblings Carl Cseak, Jr., Barbara Wilson, and Janeen Hughes. In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her first husband Gerald Edwards and brothers Thomas Cseak and Richard Cseak.
A memorial service will be held at The Arts Council in Stuart, FL, on December 29 at 2:00 p.m. For details, contact Barbara Wilson at [email protected].
